Road To RADO
Wednesday, October 3, 2012
Buffalo Bill Downhill is always a special weekend for me every year. Having raced in every BBDH since the first one 2009, it’s remained the one downhill event that I will not miss. Characterized by the endless amount of freeride runs and the highly technical course with 4 hairpins and high speed sweepers, BBDH has proven to be one of the best downhill events around. This year was no exception, as racers traveled from around to world just to have a chance to skate the many corners on Lookout Mountain.
We drove from San Francisco to Golden Colorado this year which ended up taking over 40 hours and some sketchy late-night driving. For a 3 day skatecation it’s more than worth it. Still a bit crunchy from some lingering injuries, I chose not to race this year. Rather my focus was to photograph the event, which is something I haven’t been able to do until this year. ‘Road to Rado’ is a collection of some of my favorites from the event featuring the Caliber crew. Check it out, and I hope you enjoy!
